What is included


MWWPR has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Digital Strategy in our London office, intended for candidates who like to define new roles within organizations, build teams and client work “from scratch,” and who can demonstrate success in winning new business. This role will require an entrepreneurial spirit, as this person will be a key lead in helping to build out the digital practice in London. This will require working with London account leads to identify, assess, and develop digital/social programs for existing clients, while also working on new business opportunities. The successful candidate will also have experience working with US-based teams, and in the near-term will be working on select US-based digital projects for agency immersion purposes. This role will report into the Chief Digital Strategist with a dotted line to the UK MD.



  • Assess current client work scopes and identify opportunities for incremental digital/social work that drives clients’ business objectives and effectively showcases MWWPR digital capabilities and offerings
  • Collaborate with London account leads and specialists on various new business pitches and proposals, including pitch preparation and deck development; maintain and develop contacts and networks for new business
  • Manage multiple facets of client programs including social strategy development, campaign execution, community management, and analytics and reporting
  • Propose and implement digital and social media engagement strategy for clients; develop content strategy and plans
  • Regularly counsel colleagues and clients on digital and social media strategies around “always on,” and event- and campaign-driven programs
  • As incremental digital business is developed, manage the overall quality of work on these accounts by demonstrating professionalism and team leadership as a day-to-day client contact
  • Draft proposals, budgets, staffing plans and timelines for client projects and new business prospects; take responsibility for budgetary issues, including account profitability
  • Understand how to determine online measurement and ROI metrics needed evaluate campaign results against objectives; evaluate results against objectives, programs and plans
  • Supervise the work of account team members by setting priorities, delegating responsibilities and maintaining deadlines; manage projects and plans to ensure implementation within budget
  • Continue to develop and strengthen good relationships with key influencer contacts
  • Finalize visibility, content and conversation audits that provide strategic counsel and insight
  • Deliver client-ready materials, including strategic programs/plans; edit junior team materials
  • Mobilize and motivate account team and junior reports; mentor and supervise junior staffers
  • Capture time daily and enter it into the system weekly


What You Have To Have

  • 7+ years of experience serving in a full-time social media / digital strategy / digital marketing role, either at an agency, or the in-house marketing/communications department of a company
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in an applicable field or fields
  • Experience servicing corporate or B2B accounts is highly desired; relevant consumer experience is nice to have
  • Superior oral and written communication skills; proofreading and editing ability
  • Maintain a professional, client-ready demeanor and presence; keep a high standard of etiquette in all communications and interactions
  • Demonstrated mastery of and affinity for digital tools and platforms, including top measurement, monitoring, insights, and digital/brand marketing platforms
  • Experience building and managing teams of 1-4 people is a major plus—as is being able to work in a “matrix” environment with Creative Services, Account, Research & Insights, Paid Media, etc.
