    MWW is currently seeking a Visual Designer with ninja-like skills to work on-site in our Los Angeles office as part of our creative team. This is a full-time position and reports to our New York Creative Director

     

    About you:

    You’re armed with a portfolio of stunning creative work, preferably award winning. You're as comfortable designing a logo as you are a brochure, a promoted post or an infographic. You dabble in video. You're steeped in social. You can conceive, design and execute across both digital and traditional platforms. You foster collaboration and help create a great creative culture. Essentially, you’re pretty awesome and we want you to blow us away with your work, your attitude and your energy. If you do, there will be snacks.

    Responsibilities

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Create elements for designs and layouts; apply design principles such as color, typography, photographic selection, organizing elements and usability
    • Develop ideas and concepts into compelling visual solutions creating outputs such as infographics, branding identities and collateral, integrated digital and social media deliverables, web and banner design.
    • Present rationale for design choices and assure designs meets business objectives as stated in the creative brief or art/creative direction
    • Coalesce multiple sources of raw data into comprehensive, easily digestible & highly visual content. In other words, make stuff look dope.
    • Participate in brainstorms, creative ideation and concept development
    • Pay close attention to detail; pre-flight and prepare deliverables for handoff to other creative staff, developers, client, printers, etc.
    • Research and share contemporary trends in graphic design

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

     

    • A BFA in Graphic Design, Digital Media Design or other visual art.
    • 3-5 years of experience in an agency (preferable) or as part of a creative team
    • A strong portfolio of diverse client work with a wide range of creative variety
    • A solid understanding of foundational design, digital design, color theory and typography.
    • A strong sense of Social Media and the digital space
    • A proficient knowledge of Adobe Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, with video editing capabilities being a huge plus.
    • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong knowledge of PowerPoint a plus.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Good communication, organization and project management skills
    • Illustration, animation and hand-drawing skills a plus
